With this guidance, as well as advice from the independent student body, the CMESA strives to produce the very best for its students.
What We Do
The CMESA offers an array of services for the benefit Commerce students. In offering Commerce students an opportunity to meet with industry representatives across Canada, the CMESA encourages corporations to visit our campus. Companies have the opportunity to meet with Commerce students to discuss what role they play in their industry and recruit new talent. In addition to our formally planned events, the University of Guelph is a regular host to company information sessions that take place throughout the school year.In addition to our own events, we provide opportunities for our Commerce students to attend business conferences and competitions at other universities across Canada. The opportunity to meet with their fellow Canadian business students allows Commerce students at the University of Guelph to share ideas, gain experience, and obtain exposure to the next generation of business executives. We recognize the importance of building networks within industry as well as among fellow peers. Hosting a number of social events throughout the school year, the CMESA creates a strong sense of community by providing opportunities for Commerce students to meet outside the classroom. We believe the key elements of success are a solid foundation and a clear vision. With strong roots in many fields of study, the CMESA looks forward to continually refining itself and striving towards new goals in the future. We hope that in the coming years the CMESA will be able to take on a wider role and offer even more opportunities to our Commerce students.
